Business Education Projects:
The projects contained on tis page show some of the units I have created and taught to various Business classes during my teaching career.
The Game of Life is a budgeting and personal finance unit where students choose a career and location, determine what their salary will be, and create a budget for their monthly income and expenses. The skills students will use in this unit are Internet research, problem solving, critical thinking, and computer applications using word processing and electronic spreadsheet software (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel). Some examples of subjects in which this project can be used include Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, and Computer Applications classes.
The College Comparison Project allows students to research the costs of a public and a private college and compare the difference. The skills students will use in this unit are Internet research, critical thinking and computer applications using electronic spreadsheet software (i.e. Microsoft Excel). Some examples of subjects in which this project can be used include Personal Financeand Computer Applications classes.
The Resume Rendezvous website is used to teach students how to write and create resumes and cover letters. Some examples of subjects in which this project can be used include Introduction to Business, and Computer Applications classes.
The Career Exploration project gives a student the opportunity to explore a career of his/her choice and prepare a presentation on it. Some presentation options include a MLA-style paper, a PowerPoint presentation, or a Prezi presentation. Some examples of subjects in which this project can be used include Introduction to Business and Computer Applications classes.
