Social, Ethical, Legal, and Human Issues:

Educational technology leaders understand the social, ethical, legal, and human issues surrounding the use of technology in PK-12 schools and develop programs facilitating application of that understanding in practice throughout their district/region/state.

Group wiki project - In a class called Researching Current Issues in Instructional Technology I collaborated with a group of 10 other classmates to create a wiki called "Decisions Using Technology".  This experience allowed all of us to contribute and we periodically formed small groups that met in online chat rooms to discuss our progress.

This project demonstrates achievement of this standard as it communicates research on best practices relating to applying appropriate technology resources to empower students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Current issues paper - Another assignment in my Researching Current Issues in Instructional Technology class was to respond to a scenario concerning copyright issues.  Since this subject comes up frequently in both the academia and business worlds I enjoyed researching current copyright laws.  

This project demonstrates achievement of this standard because it helps implement a plan for documenting adherence to copyright laws.
